Feedback from AGRODEP workshop on Impact Evaluation and Analysis of Development Interventions II

Again, it was a great time for us at Dakar, Senegal, 16 Dec, 2013 - 20 Dec, 2013. Thanks to AGRODEP and our network (AIEN- AGRODEP Impact Evaluation Network) instructor- Tanguy Bernard who came up with new dimension on how best we can learn. Every participant, as part of the training, made at least a presentation on either their proposal, completed or ongoing project related to impact evaluation and development interventions. Each member was also tasked to review at least a paper and shared their observations. Every paper was constructively criticized after presentation with useful pieces of advice made. I am happy that beyond my expectation on the course, my reviewing skill has improved. We were also privileged to be taught by great scholars like Clara Delavallade who had imparted in us how to deal with “Motivation, Effort and Incentives from theory to empirical applications in impact evaluation and development interventions studies; Susan Godlonton taught us a lot on the “Recent developments in the study of network effects by moving from theory, measurement and empirical applications in impact evaluation studies. My assessment will not be complete if I fail to mention and thank Alimatou Diop for her excellent logistics and other members of the network for their valuable contributions.
