Insa Diop is a Research Analyst in IFPRI's Markets, Trade, and Institutions Division where he assists senior researchers in developing and maintaining AGRODEP's library of technical resources (technical notes, models, and databases). His research interests include measurement and modeling of market integration, econometric and CGEs models. Recently, in collaboration with Fousseini Traore, he has developed a paper analyzing the paradox of the supply elasticity of cotton in Mali. Prior to joining IFPRI in 2020, Insa worked at The Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research (ISRA), particularly for the Macro-Economics Analysis Office (BAME). His tasks and responsibilities consisted of technical support for economic modeling, surveys design and data analysis. Insa is an economist and statistician engineer, who graduated in 2019 from the National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis (ENSAE) in Dakar, Senegal.
