AKADEMIYA2063 in partnership with J-PAL Africa, hosted a virtual session on Thursday, June 23, 2022, to share updates and planned activities for the AGRODEP Modeling Consortium in 2022-2023. Staff from J-PAL presented research funding opportunities for African Scholars including calls for proposals covering digital payments and digital identification, digitization in agriculture, and labor market topics. During the session, J-PAL covered the research scope for these three initiatives and offered some practical next steps for African Scholars who may be interested in applying to these research grants.
Through these research calls for proposals, J-PAL hopes to enhance the opportunity for Sub-Saharan Africa researchers to conduct their own randomized evaluations.
