Aklesso Y. G. Egendewe

Prof. Aklesso Y. G. EGENDEWE holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and an MSc degree in Economics from Texas A&M University, United States. He is currently a professor of economics at the University of Lomé, Togo. Before joining the University of Lomé faculty, he worked first as a visiting assistant professor at Michigan State University (MSU) from 2010-2012. Then, from 2012-2013, he served as a senior researcher at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC) in Milan, Italy. He is currently the Director of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Research Team (ERE2A) at the University Lomé, Togo.


His research covers climate change impact modeling, agricultural policy, environmental economics, energy economics, industrial organization, and development economics. His publications have appeared in several world-leading economics as well as multidisciplinary journals such as Ecological Economics, Energy Policy, Energy Economics, Agricultural Economics, Climate Change Economics, Climatic Change, Finance Research Letters, Natural Resources Forum, Climate Policy, African Development Review, Applied Economics Perspectives and Policy, Environmental Science and Technology.
