Dr. Osman Babikir is a citizen of Sudan. He has been an AGRODEP member since April, 2011. At the present, Osman is a Assistant Professor at the IGAD Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development. In this position, Osman involved in many activities such as teaching, training, research and consultancies. Before joining IGAD Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development, Osman worked for . He holds a BS in Agricultural Sciences from University of Khartoum, a MA in Agricultural Economics from University of Khartoum, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from University of Khartoum. He is specialized in Labor and Demographic Economics. He is interested in <p>labor and resource economics, poverty and food security, livelihood analysis, gender studies, conflict and peace studies, production and development economics.</p>
