<p><span>Miriam W. Omolo is a citizen of Kenya. She has been an AGRODEP member since October 2010. At present, Miriam is a Trade Program Officer at the Institute of Economic Affairs. In this position, Miriam examines the trade agreements that Kenya is party to, and researches on their impact on development and poverty reduction. Before joining Institute of Economic Affairs, Miriam worked for The African Economic Research Consortium. She holds a&nbsp;B.A.&nbsp;degree in Economics from Kenyatta University, an&nbsp;M.A.&nbsp;in Economics from University of Nairobi, and is currently a Ph.D.&nbsp;candidate&nbsp;at the University of South Africa. Her research interests include trade liberalization, poverty, social policy and CGE Modeling.</span></p>

<p>Miriam Omolo is one of eight AGRODEP members who will receive&nbsp;sponsorship from the WTO to attend the&nbsp;<a href="http://agrodep.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=92721605f0fcca50fa90f03a3&amp;id=680aee8725&amp;e=eadf8e306b">15th Annual Conference on Global Economic Analysis</a>&nbsp;scheduled for June 27-29, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. Miriam will present her paper on the impact of trade liberalization on poverty in Kenya at the conference. An AGRODEP member&nbsp;since October 2010, Ms. Omolo is a Trade Program Officer at the Institute of Economic Affairs.
