The 2007 Zambia Demographic and Health Survey (2007 ZDHS) was implemented by the Central Statistical Office (CSO) in partnership with the Ministry of Health from April to October 2007. The Tropical Diseases Research Centre (TDRC) provided technical support and implementation of the syphilis and HIV testing. Macro International Inc.

The 2006 Uganda Demographic and Health Survey (UDHS) was conducted by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS). Macro International Inc. provided technical assistance and funding through MEASURE DHS, a USAID-funded project that assists developing countries to collect data on fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, and HIV/AIDS.

The 2010 Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey (2010 TDHS) was implemented by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) from December 19, 2009 to May 23, 2010. Funding for the survey was provided by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW), Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC), Department for International Development (DFID), World Health Organization (WHO)/Zanzibar), United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), World Food Programme (WFP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Irish Aid.

The 2006-07 Swaziland Demographic and Health Survey (SDHS) is the first national survey conducted in Swaziland. It was carried out by the Swaziland Central Statistical Office (CSO). The SDHS is part of the worldwide MEASURE Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) pogram, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

2008 Sierra Leone Demographic and Health Survey (SLDHS) was carried out by Statistics Sierra Leone (SSL) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS). The Government of Sierra Leone provided financial assistance in terms of funding and in-kind contributions of government staff time, office space, and logistical support. Additional funding for the survey was provided by the U.S.

The 2006-07 Namibia Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) was carried out from November 2006 through March 2007. The survey is the latest in a series of periodic surveys that are conducted in collaboration with various stakeholders led by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.  It is the third comprehensive survey conducted in Namibia as part of the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) programme. The main objective of this survey was to measure levels, patterns, and trends in demographic and health indicators in Namibia.
