Dr. Maam Suwadu Sakho-Jimbira is a citizen of Senegal. She has been an AGRODEP member since April 2013. Maam Suwadu is a Environment and Climate Programme Officer at the International Fund for Agicultural Development (IFAD). Before joining IFAD she was a Researcher at IPAR (Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale). Prior to this, Maam Suwadu worked for CIFOR in Bogor, Yaoundé and Ouagadougou; she worked also at the Center for International Forestry Research and ISRA in Dakar, Senegal (Institute for Agricultural Research). She holds a B.A. in Economic Sciences and Management from Gaston Berger of Saint-Louis, an M.A. in Economic Sciences and Management from Gaston Berger of Saint-Louis, and a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from University of Montpellier I. She specializes in development economics. Her research interests include agricultural and rural economics, development economics and microeconomics agricultural modeling, climate change adaptation, rural household strategies, food security and vulnerability, and forest product management and livelihoods.
