Dr. Dimaranan is a Senior Research Coordinator at the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Division (MTID) of IFPRI. She currently serves as Project Manager of the AGRODEP project. She has conducted research on trade policy issues (multilateral and regional trade agreements, WTO accession of China and Vietnam, impacts of biofuels policies, food and agricultural policies, and growth and economic development. Before joining IFPRI, Dr. Dimaranan was a Research Economist and Database Administrator at the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) in Purdue University. Betina received a B.S. in Agribusiness from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños, an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. More about Dr. Dimaranan.
